Towards DVM Friendly First-Class Functions
نویسنده
چکیده
One of the most attractive features of functional languages is that functions are first-class. To support first-class functions many functional languages created heap-allocated closures to store the bindings of free variables. This makes it difficult to predict how the heap is accessed and makes accesses to free variables slower than accesses to bound variables at runtime. This article presents how support for first-class functions is provided in the MT Evaluator Virtual Machine without creating heap-allocated closures by using partial evaluation at runtime.

Volterra models and three-layer perceptrons
This paper proposes the use of a class of feedforward artificial neural networks with polynomial activation functions (distinct for each hidden unit) for practical modeling of high-order Volterra systems. Discrete-time Volterra models (DVMs) are often used in the study of nonlinear physical and physiological systems using stimulus-response data. However, their practical use has been hindered by...
متن کاملStudents’ Viewpoint about Class Culture in Semnan University of Medical Sciences
Introduction: Recognizing students' conceptions and feelings towards class culture and revealing class members' relationship are important for planning and making positive changes. This study was done to determine students’ views toward the class culture in Semnan University of Medical Sciences. Methods: In this descriptive study, 269 university senior students were investigated. The question...
متن کاملCoefficient Bounds for Analytic bi-Bazileviv{c} Functions Related to Shell-like Curves Connected with Fibonacci Numbers
In this paper, we define and investigate a new class of bi-Bazilevic functions related to shell-like curves connected with Fibonacci numbers. Furthermore, we find estimates of first two coefficients of functions belonging to this class. Also, we give the Fekete-Szegoinequality for this function class.

متن کاملIndependence-friendly cylindric set algebras
Independence-friendly logic is a conservative extension of first-order logic that has the same expressive power as existential second-order logic. In her Ph.D. thesis, Dechesne introduces a variant of independence-friendly logic called IFG logic. We attempt to algebraize IFG logic in the same way that Boolean algebra is the algebra of propositional logic and cylindric algebra is the algebra of ...
